To My Long Distance Best Friends

Best Friends,

I’ll admit it’s been weird not having you by my side, or at least in the same state, as I take on each day.  I miss lunch conversations and laughing together everyday and complaining together and everything we ever did together.  Life was a lot easier when I could see you with just a short drive.

The distance between us doesn’t discount our friendship; the distance just pushes ut to communicate better.  Technology makes life easier since y’all are only one call or text away,  but nothing beats the long conversations about anything and everything we have for hours when we’re both home.

No matter the distance though, I’ll always be there for you, and I know you’ll always be there for me.  Life comes at us fast, and sometimes I get so stressed that I forget to reach out, to communicate with those that matter and care the most.  You stay by my side through the good days and the bad days– when I’m grieving you’re there; when I need to rant about stupid college boys, you’re there; when I’m stressed, you’re there encouraging me.

I want you to know that no matter how far away we get from each other, our hearts are still close, and I want to be there for you the ways you’re always there for me.  You need to cry over the phone to me at 2am? Go ahead. Call. I promise I’ll always answer.  You need a good laugh? I got you.  I’ve done plenty of stupid stuff since I last unloaded a semester of stupid stuff to you over break.  You need to rant about your parents at 8am on a Saturday? Call. I don’t care that I might be sleeping– I’ll answer.

You’re important. You matter. You deserve the best.

I want to see you achieve everything you have ever dreamed of achieving, so go as far as life need to take you, I’ll be where life takes me cheering you on and supporting you with all of my heart.

Love,

Macy

Side Note: Sorry for the three week break from the blog. School started at full steam ahead, and then I got the flu, so it has been a rough couple of weeks.
